Scaffold Erection Services Limited was established as a family owned business in Birmingham in 1974. It has steadily grown to become a leading contract scaffolding service provider in the Midlands and has expanded into the North West of England.
Former owner Kevin Ward, past President of the National Access & Scaffolding Confederation (NASC), put significant investment into driving industry standards across the scaffolding and access industry. Using SES as an example of best practice, the business was able to demonstrate the benefits of adopting best practice, both for its clients, its employees and the wider communities it serves as a whole.
In May 2016, SES moved from one family to another, when it was acquired by Denholm Industrial Group, the Industrial Services division of J. & J. Denholm (the Denholm Group).
The strength of SES in the Midlands - and more recently, its growing reputation in the North West - complements the footprint of Denholm Industrial Group, which has eight sites across the UK operated through four established businesses. Combining the skills, experience and expertise of these businesses has helped to create a UK-wide provider of access solutions and industrial services.
