As a family-owned business we are in a unique position to make a positive impact in our community. Respect for people and the communities in which we work are at the heart of our beliefs and part of our make up.
Our aim is to help reshape our communities by creating local employment and training opportunities. Secure employment is vital for sustainable communities and with 2.5 million unemployed adults in the UK we have a role to play in improving people’s skills and prospects. We trade with many clients with a growing number of links to social enterprises and we provide apprenticeships through the clients own training and development structures and also directly through our own links to the community.By example we aim to raise the aspirations, skills and employment prospects for young people in local schools. Through our involvement with Business in the Community’s ‘Business Class’ programme we provide mentoring and support.
Our people are also keen to give back to the communities in which we work and we make volunteering easy. They donate, their time, energy, enthusiasm and support to a number of community projects across the region in conjunction with many of our clients.
